My parents were just called to be Assistant to the President and Assistant to the Matron of the San Diego LDS Temple. (which is a counselor in the presidency, but they call them assistants)
They are very excited. This is their mission for the next 3 years. They wanted to go on a mission, but weren't sure what they were going to do and when. Guess they know now. They have been working in the temple for a few years and have been shift supervisors. A new President has been called and has asked for them to be assistants. My Dad will also be set apart as a Temple Sealer by one of the 12 Apostles which is very exciting.

We can't think of anyone more deserving and who will benefit the patrons more than the two of you. We will come down sometime soon? and be excited to be in your temple. Looks like Kylie will be able to be sealed by Grandpa.

I'm so glad for your parents! They will be so great! Have you guys been experiencing opposition to proposition 8? My niece has had all kinds of opposition. Just curious!
