Camping fun

Nate took Kelsie and Brooke up camping Friday night. They stayed in this beautiful spot right by a lake. This is only about 1/2 hr. away from our house. Those 3 love to go camping. Kylie and I, not so much. :) We stayed home.
Here is Kelsie whipping up some French toast for breakfast. They go all out when they go camping. They love to cook, make smores, whittle sticks, play cards and sleep under the stars.

Tri Stake Dance

We had a Tri Stake Dance at our ward building last night. Our ward was in charge of it, but the other 2 wards in our building helped with it too. It was a Disneyland theme, so each ward took a different land and decorated for that. We had Fantasyland for our ward, so we decorated around the princess themes. This was the entrance to the dance that everyone had to go through. This castle was huge. I didn't get a picture of the whole thing, but it went clear down the sides. The cub scouts had used it for a cub scout day camp for something. Our ward kids and leaders painted the whole thing and put the bricks on it. I did the lettering for it and it turned out really cute! (Kylie, Laurissa, Donna, Kelly and David (Joy's husband)
These were the only people from our ward that weren't party poopers and wouldn't dress up!
Our little Beauty and the Beast table.
Our Fantasyland sign. Some more of our fantasyland. The dance was under the pavillion behind us. There was tons of kids there and I think they all had a good time. It was a very successful night!

Activity Days

We had a fun night last night for Activity Days. I had my friend Joy come and do a mini class on hair and hygiene. She had them put on a face mask and then wash their faces.
Then we did each of their hair in a different braid or something trying to get them to try new things with their hair instead of just wearing it down and straight. They all loved it! Thanks Joy!

A few ramblings........

The girls have been in school for a week now and the homework has started. They have done really good at coming home and getting it done before they do anything else, most days. It's been nice to get back into a schedule and the girls were glad to get back into school and see all of their friends again. Sometimes I feel like homework is more stress on the Mom than the kids though. What's up with that?

I finally got my laptop back after a week without it. It crashed. They had to wipe my whole computer and start over. Luckily, we had backed up my documents, but I lost everything else. I started getting a blue error screen, so I knew something was going on. So to all of you, back up your computers today!! I am still trying to get some of my programs back on and I finally got my cutter going again. Now I am trying to play catch up. Kylie got a virus on her computer and it took Nate two evenings to get it off of there. Luckily he did, her stuff was not backed up. She really wanted her music and her pictures off of there. Lucky her!

What Olympic Sport are you?

You Are Softball

While you do like competing, you like cooperating even more.
You find working with a group to be much more invigorating than going solo.
You are a true team player. You like contributing to the win!

What Olympic Sport Are You?
Guess this is true. I'd rather "help" in anything I do, than be in "charge".

We Love Watching the Olympics

What more can be said about this guy than WOW!! He continues to amaze and is so fun to watch. As we watched his butterfly last night, it was so exciting to watch him come from behind and win. The Olympics are really messing up my sleep schedule. I can't go to bed if there is something exciting on. Like the night before with the all around girls gymnastics. It was 1:00 in the morning and I was sitting here by myself with tears rolling down my face when the US took gold and silver and Nastia's Dad was so proud of her. Everyone else had gone to bed hours before. :)

Fun Day at the lake!

A little mud is good for the skin right? Kelsie and Brooke thought so. :)
My cousin called last week to see if they could come up and go boating with us. We went to the lake on Saturday. I am so glad they called. We had alot of fun! This is Cameron and Rachel on the tube. They did awesome wakeboarding too. We got Rachel up on the board and Cameron got to try out his new board. We didn't even get a picture of Nicole and James though. We gotta do it again guys!

F A I R

This is what we spent all day yesterday doing. Kelsie and Brooke are on this ride and it is their FaVoRiTe!! They are crazy! Kelsie is back at the fair today. She is going to be beat by the time she gets home. She already was last night and I was surprised she wanted to go again, but she is a die hard ride rider!
This is the only other picture I got all day. It's a cute one of Brooke though. I carried around the camera all day and only took a few. We even went to the Bull Riding last night too. Fun, llloonngg day! I could hardly walk by the time we got home. Still dealing with the ankle!
Kylie is still up at EFY this week and having a great time. She really likes all of her roommates and has been to some awesome classes. She is not going to want to come home. It seems like she has been gone for so long now. It will be nice to have her back and have someone to run my errands. Her Aunt loved having her up there to run her errands for her. :)
