Basketball Girlies

Here is Kelsie and Brooke in their basketball uniforms. Brooke is the youngest on the team. She holds her own though and gets alot of playing time. They have won all of their 5 games now and yesterday they won their game against the only other team that was undefeated in their league. Not anymore!! Kelsie has scored between 8-12 points every game. They have fun and it's even funner when you win!! Yeah!! Good job girls! Go Charter!!

Repelling

The YW in the ward went repelling on Saturday morning. It was a little intimidating for some of them, but they all did awesome. Kelsie volunteered to be the first one to do it and she made it look too easy. I was not there, but Nate was. Here is Kelsie going and a view of what they went down.
You have to just step off backwards and trust your ropes.
Here is Kylie going down.
And here's Kelsie and Nate starting to race going down. Kelsie had already done it once and Nate wasn't quite sure he was comfortable. You can tell by his face. He got a nice rope burn on his arm that is still bothering him trying so hard to beat Kels. :)

Just for fun!!

This is what my husband likes to do any spare time he has, which isn't much. Look at that wheel travel. He's pretty proud of that!! We'll see if we can get him to comment....

And this is my 12 year old....... AAGGHH, we're in trouble!! (In more ways than one) :-)

End of the year Open House

Here is Brooke sitting in her desk with some of her stuff out they showed for Open House. She had just gotten home 2 hours before from camping all week with her class in the rain and cold. The kids didn't mind though. Glad I didn't sign up for that trip!

Kelsie's class had the medieval theme going on. They all had different stations of things they used to do back then. Kelsie and her friend were clowns on stilts and had a booth where they did face painting. They had a line all night of kids wanting to get their faces painted. They didn't get to do much on their stilts, but all of the other kids had fun on them.

Here they are on their stilts. They actually had 6 pairs of stilts there that the kids got to use.

Stilts

Here is Kelsie and her dad hard at work making stilts last night. Kelsie's class is doing a Renaissance themed fair like thing at the end of the year at open house. They each have a different "act" they are going to do. Kelsie and her friends are renaissance clowns on stilts and are going to do face painting and have shorter stilts for kids to try out.

Have you ever tried to walk on stilts? They are not as easy as the look. Ask Kels!!
